What We Do

The Rock River Chapter NSDAR host several programs and projects to honor our patriot ancestors by fostering historical preservation, education, and patriotism. We work together on activities that promote American heritage, service for veterans, preservation of genealogical records, commemorative events, conservation, scholarships for students, and other activities sponsored by our chapter.

Patriotism

The Rock River Chapter, NSDAR, held a rededication service at Kingsbury Presbyterian Cemetery in rural Erie in May. A new marker was placed at the grave of Alexander Thompson — the only American Revolutionary War patriot buried in Whitseide County. DAR and SAR members attended, as well as relatives of Thompson who traveled for the service,
