Marking
On June 14, 2014 after the "Flag Day" picnic in Wapella, IL, members. traveled a short distance to the Long Point Cemetery to mark the grave of Nola Karr with the  a bronze DAR emblem.  Shown are Nola's nieces, Rosalie Summers and Jeanie Andrews.



Community Service Award
At the May 10, 2014 meeting, Barbara Strange (right) presents the DAR Community Service Award to  Karen Steward.  Ms Steward was honored for her  involvement in the DeWitt County Museum, her church, and other community organizations.



DAR Good Citizens
At the March 9, 2014 meeting, Carole Wylder (right) presented awards to the chapter winner and runners up from Heyworth High School, Clinton High School and Blue Ridge High School.

During the February 2014 meeting, Chapter Regent Jane Waddock presented a 50 year membership certificate to Marjorie Devores.



Winners
On March 10, 2013, the DeWitt Clinton Chapter honored DAR Good Citizens winners from area high schools.  Winners were chosen by their schools for their outstanding academic achievement, extracurricular activities and community service. 

The DAR Good Citizens Program is intended to encourage and reward the qualities of good citizenship.  The program is open to all senior class students enrolled in accredited public or private secondary schools that are in good standing with their state board of education.  The student selected as the school‘s DAR Good Citizen must have the following qualities: Dependability, Service, Leadership and Patriotism. 

This year's winners are:  Lisa Wallace, Blue Ridge High School; Veronica McPheron, Heyworth High School; Mikalya Jones, Deland-Weldon High School and James Williams, Clinton High School.  Barbara Strange, Good Citizens Award Chairman, presented them with a pin, certificate and a monetary award.
