March 10, 2013, the DeWitt Clinton Chapter honored DAR Good
Citizens winners from area high schools. Winners were chosen
by their schools for their outstanding academic achievement,
extracurricular activities and community service. The DAR Good Citizens Program is intended to encourage and reward the qualities of good citizenship. The program is open to all senior class students enrolled in accredited public or private secondary schools that are in good standing with their state board of education. The student selected as the school‘s DAR Good Citizen must have the following qualities: Dependability, Service, Leadership and Patriotism. This year's winners are: Lisa Wallace, Blue Ridge High School; Veronica McPheron, Heyworth High School; Mikalya Jones, Deland-Weldon High School and James Williams, Clinton High School.
