Johan Philip Senft was born in 1731, in Alsace‐Lorraine, Bayern, Germany and died in North Codorus Township, York County, Pennsylvania on 28 July 1796. He is buried in Saint Peters Church Cemetery, Spring Grove, York County, Pennsylvania. He was the ancestor of the Senft families of York and Adams Counties, Pennsylvania. He had immigrated to America from Germany on the ship, S.S. Edinburg, which arrived at Philadelphia on 16 September 1751. He settled in Codorus Township, now North Codorus Township, York County, Pennsylvania and there married Anna Maria. She was the daughter of Phillip Bentz, born 10 September 1735, Alsace‐Lorraine. Anna would pass on 20 March 1815, and is buried in the Folkenroth Burial Grounds, North Codorus Township. Descendants of this family can be traced through their three sons: Andrew (1764‐1844) who married Julian Leschner; John Peter (1773‐1838) who married Catherine Scholl; and Henry (1776‐1852) who married Susanna Gentzler.

Andrew/Andreas, the son of Johan Philip Senft, was born 17 March 1764, North Codorus, York County, Pennsylvania. He would serve in the York County Militia during the Revolutionary War. Andrew would marry Julianna Maria Leschner born 10 May 1768, in Codorous. Andrew would pass 1 May 1844, and Juliana on 8 May 1850. The two are buried in the Saint Peters Church Cemetery, Spring Grove, York County, Pennsylvania. Andrew and Julianna were the parents of: John 20 March 1791‐15 May 1875; Elizabeth Kessler 11 February 1798‐9 August 1867; Catherine Danner 16 May 1806‐16 February 1889; and Peter 1 January 1793‐11 August 1836.

In 1827, Daughter Catherine Senft would marry Henry S Danner Sr*, born 10 October in 1806, in Porters Sideling, York County, Pennsylvania, he died 19 September 1900, in Astoria, Fulton County, Illinois. Henry was the son of David Danner and Magdelena Elizabeth Stambaugh. Both Catherine and Henry are buried in the Woodland Cemetery, Woodland Township, Fulton County, Illinois. The young couple farmed, and raised a family of twelve, in the Astoria area of Fulton County. Their children were Children: David Solomon Danner 1828–1895; Henry Danner Jr 1830–1911; Andrew Danner 1832–1914; Elizabeth Senft Danner Shaffer 1834–1880; Jesse S Danner 1835–1909; Danner 1837‐1837; Laura Danner 1837‐1838; Peter Danner 1837‐1838; Jacob S Danner 1836–1925; Daniel Danner 1840–1929; Aaron Danner 1842‐1842; and Solomon H Danner 1848‐1915.

County, Pennsylvania, and passed 26 June 1925, in Woodland Township, Fulton County, Illinois. On 20 March 1928 he would marry Amanda Copp, born 24 January 1838, in York County, Pennsylvania. She died on 20 March 1928, Woodland Township. The couple, along with their daughter Lavina, share a headstone in the Woodland Cemetery, Woodland Township. Jacob and Catherine were the parents of John C, Edward C, Lavina and Franklin C.

Jacob and Catherine’s son Edward C Danner was born 23 December 1863 at Hanover, York County, Pennsylvania, and passed on 13 June 1932, Fulton County, Illinois. About 1886 he would marry Barbara Elizabeth Weber. Barbara was born in July of 1869 and passed in Astoria, Fulton County, Illinois, in 1959. The young couple would have three sons, Harvey 1884‐1971, Noah W 1887‐1957, and Leo W 1893‐1985.

Harvey Danner was born 11 October 1884, Ipava, Fulton, County, Illinois and died 15 May 1971, in Macomb, Illinois. He is buried, along with his wife Cora Frances Rockwell, in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Macomb, McDonough County, Illinois. They were married 4 December 1908. Cora was the daughter of Albert and Elizabeth Carter Rockwell. She was born 18 September 1887, in Astoria, Fulton County. She died 2 November 1967, in Macomb. They would have four children; Russell C, Frances, and twin daughters Nelda Mae and Nellie Marie, who died in infancy.

13 May 2008, in Macomb. She was a member of the Table Grove American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, Home Extension in Macomb, Cub Scout den leader for several years and was a former 4‐H leader from 1957 to 1970. She worked as a cook for the Adair Grade School and then for the Macomb Grade School, retiring in 1987. On 29 March 1941, Frances married Elbert Allison Teel, son of James Carl and Della Augusta Allison. He was born 18 Aug 1917, in Industry, McDonough County, Illinois. He died 27 Feb 1986, in Macomb, McDonough County, Illinois. The two are buried in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Macomb.

*Henry S Danner Sr, was a descendant of Michael Danner (1696‐1782) who first came to the colonies in 1715, along with his wife, Anna Bend. They arrived in Philadelphia on the ship James Goodwill 27 September 1727. Their son, Michael Jr (1734‐1782) is listed in the Pennsyvania Rolls for having paid supply tax in Manheim Township in 1779. As such his service is recognized by the DAR #A131955.
