Dedication of Flagpole, U.S. Flag and Marker



On June 14, 2011 the Stephen Decatur Chapter NSDAR dedicated
a Flagpole,U.S. Flag and Marker at Pavilion #1 at Fairview Park, Decatur, Illinois.

It was dedicated to all Macon County Veterans with gratitude and respect. May we never forget their courage and sacrifice.

The dedication was well attended by the chapter members, Macon County Honor Guard, and many community members.
It was placed with both the cooperation of and help from the Decatur Park District.
In conjunction with the dedication, a 115th Anniversary Luncheon for the chapter was held at the Scovill Golf Club.
