Wreath Laying Cereminy

The mayor of Washington, Illinois, honored our DAR chapter by asking us to lay the wreaths during the town's official annual Memorial Day services. (The honor had been accorded to Gold Star Mothers in previous years.) Daughters Karen Ghighi and Linda Lee, our representatives, were provided formal escorts from both the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.

The Illinois State Organization NSDAR and the Black Partridge Chapter NSDAR dedicated the restoration of the Lincoln Circuit Markers at the boundary of Tazewood & Woodford county line.
