The Rock River Chapter NSDAR host several programs and projects to honor our patriot ancestors by fostering historical preservation, education, and patriotism. We work together on activities that promote American heritage, service for veterans, preservation of genealogical records, commemorative events, conservation, scholarships for students, and other activities sponsored by our chapter.
The Rock River Chapter NSDAR, donated an American flag to the Sterling-Rock Falls Historical Society, at the Lincoln Learning Center in Sterling. The flag had flown over the White House on Abraham Lincoln's 209th birthday, February 12.
NSDAR National Day of Service
Our chapter celebrates the anniversary of the founding of DAR by participating in the National DAR Day of Service. Community service projects organized by chapter members honor our organization’s commitment to service to America for more than 125 years.
Our chapter, toured the Lincoln-Manahan Home Museum, in Sterling, Illinois. Before he became President, Abraham Lincoln stayed overnight in this now-restored home.
The Rock River Chapter of the DAR celebrated its 100th anniversary on May 17, 2018.
